The East Coast Walk (Piso Livadi to Pyrgaki)
A relatively easy to moderate difficulty, 9 km coastal hike along lace-like coastline, all the way from quaint Piso Livadi to Drios and beyond. Walk into splendid seascapes incl. idyllic beaches, rocky shore and great viewpoints to the Naxos & Paros-Naxos channel!
Level: Moderate
Description We start at the quaint fishing port of Piso Livadi; after briefly exploring the old part of the village, we start walking by the beachfront. We walk along the lace-like coastline to the south, mostly following a coastal trail right by the water, which takes us into the magnificent seascapes of the eastern coast of Paros – alternating long golden-sanded beaches and rocky outcrops, as well as points of majestic views across the Paros-Naxos channel. Swimming options abound along this scenic route, which ends at the cliffside chapel of St. George at Cape Pyrgaki, just off the seaside village of Drios (SE Paros).
