SUMMARY:The Dryos- Langada- Aghios Georgios Monastery Hike
DESCRIPTION:[EN] A new Paros Hikes route in unspoilt Cycladic nature with many interesting sights\, starting from seaside Dryos in the southeast and walking along the Kavouropotamos ravine all the way up to the old settlement of Langada\, the heights of Vounala (600 m) and the monastery of Aghios Georgios! We’ll walk all the way up on the island’s best-preserved traditional stone-paved footpath to vantage points and majestic views at the chapel of Aghios Nikolaos of Langadha\, and then visit the picturesque 17th c. walled monastery of Aghios Georgios to return on the old pilgrims’ trail to the northern villages… down to Tzannes and back to Dryos\, enjoying beautiful sea views!\nAn 11-km circular hike of moderate difficulty with 4h30m of walking & net elevation gain/loss +/-450m. You should have good walking/running shoes\, hat\, sunglasses & sunscreen on and carry at least 1 liter of water each. Θα περπατήσουμε μέσα σε ανέγγιχτα τοπία κυκλαδίτικης φύσης στην καρδιά του νησιού\, ξεκινώντας από το Δρυό και ανεβαίνοντας διαμέσου του ρέματος του Καβοροπόταμου και του φαραγγιού της Λαγκάδας ως το περεκκλήσι του Αγίου Νικολάου όπου θα περάσουμε στην άλλη μεριά της Βουνάλας\, φθάνοντας στο λευκό καστρομοναστήρι του Αγίου Γεωργίου του 17ου αι. – κι από εκεί πίσω στο το Δρυό και τη θάλασσα στα νότια. Θα έχουμε την ευκαρία να διασχίσουμε το καλύτερα διατηρημένο και πιο εντυπωσιακό λιθόστρωτο μονοπάτι της Πάρου\, καθώς και το παλαιό μονοπάτι των προσκυνητών του Αγίου Γεωργίου\, περνώντας από σημεία με υπέροχη θέα από ψηλά προς τα τα βουνά και τη θάλασσα. SUMMARY:The Lefkes Highlands- Agios Ioannis Kaparos Hike
DESCRIPTION:[EN] Join us on a hike on the hillsides above Lefkes\, among old vineyards & olive groves\, with superb views & light\, passing by the leafy valley above the miniature fortified monastery of Agios Ioannis Kaparos (17th c.). We’ll  start with a walk around the inland traditional village of Lefkes and continue on an uphill route on some of the oldest stone-paved footpaths on Paros. We shall then roam around the terraced fields with  vineyards & olive groves around the chapel of Agios Nikitas\, with great vantage points for views to the sea and the islands beyond the N-NE coast\, the mountains above Lefkes and the valleys below! After a break for a snack & refreshments at a great location\, we will walk down the hill through a green oasis of fruit bearing tress first to the old monastery and finally back the village on easy dirt roads. Θα ξεκινήσουμε από την πλατεία του παραδοσιακού χωριού για να ανηφορίσουμε πάνω σε παλιά μονοπάτια στα υψίπεδα γύρω από το χωριό για να καταλήξουμε\, μετά από μια κυκλική διαδρομή μέσα από αναβαθμούς με παλιούς ορεινούς αμπελώνες\, στο εκκλησάκι του Αγίου Νικήτα κάτω από τους Άγιους Πάντες. Καθοδόν\, θα απολαύσουμε μοναδική θέα από ψηλά προς στις Β-ΒΑ ακτές\, τη θάλασσα και τα γύρω νησιά\, καθώς και στα βουνά της Πάρου! We’ll walk from sleepy Angeria village (10 km S of Parikia) through the serene\, green valley of Kamari village into the abandoned village of Aneratza and idyllic countryside roaming around in old\, winding walled footpaths. From there\, we take the shepherds’ trail in the ravine up Skafi hill\, to the chapel of Ai- Giorgis sta Damalia (‘St. George of the Calves’- 325 m) for great views to the sea and surrounding islands to the S-SE. There\, we’ll also enjoy a light ‘Taste of Paros’ picnic with local produce & wine! Join us on a circular\, moderate difficulty hike on the rugged uninhabited island off southern Antiparos\, with a visit to the archeological site and beautiful faraway beaches! We will start with a short tour of the archeological site of the ancient tempple of Apollo. We will then walk over the coastline and over rough footpaths to the juniper-covered hillsides. The terrain will be mostly rocky and we’ll follow unmarked shepherds’ trails (a.k.a. ‘goat-trails’) to reach points of spectacular views to the open sea and Antiparos\, Paros and the surrounding islands. Spectacular dips in the wide sandy beach of Livadi facing the ocean\, and at a secret cove with emerald waters\, will refresh us along the way. The tour will end with a “Taste of Paros” picnic by the beach with fresh local produce\, a cooked dish and Paros wine! We will then pay a visit to the fortified 17th c. Monastery of Aghios Minas above and wander a bit more in the rural Parian landscape.  A relatively easy circular route of 5 km and 2h30m-3h (incl. stops)\, with elevation gain/loss of 70m\, on dirt tracks and rocky footpaths… with a touch of easy caving on uneven surfaces and inclination (torches provided). DESCRIPTION:[EN] Join us on an original sunset hike on the hillsides above Lefkes\, among old vineyards & olive groves\, with superb views & light\, passing by the leafy valley above the miniature fortified monastery of Agios Ioannis Kaparos (17th c.). We’ll  start with a walk around the inland traditional village of Lefkes and continue on an uphill route on some of the oldest stone-paved footpaths on Paros. We shall then roam around the terraced fields with  vineyards & olive groves around the chapel of Agios Nikitas\, with great vantage points for views to the sea and the islands beyond the N-NE coast\, the mountains above Lefkes and the valleys below… in the violet colors of sunset & dusk! After a break for refreshments at a great location with running water\, we will walk down the hill through a green oasis of fruit bearing tress first to the old monastery and finally back the village – on easy dirt roads under the stars. Le tour va commencer de l’ancien village principal de Lefkes avec une promenade autour du village\, puis suivra un itineraire en montée sur certains des sentiers plus vieux sur l’île. On va flâner autour des anciennes terrasses cultivées et des vignobles anciens  jusque à la chapelle de Agios Nikitas dans la montagne. SUMMARY:The Angeria- Aneratza- Ai-Giorgis sta Damalia Circular Hike
DESCRIPTION:[EN] Join us on a moderate difficulty afternoon hike on the lesser-known but beautiful southern heights! We’ll walk from sleepy Angeria village (10 km S of Parikia) through the serene\, green valley of Kamari village into the abandoned village of Aneratza and idyllic countryside roaming around in old\, winding walled footpaths. From there\, we take the shepherds’ trail in the ravine up Skafi hill\, to the chapel of Ai- Giorgis sta Damalia (‘St. George of the Calves’- 325 m) for great views to the sea and surrounding islands to the S-SE. There\, we’ll also enjoy a hearty ‘Taste of Paros’ picnic with local produce & wine! A relaxed downhill dirt road will then take us past the Monastery of Agioi Theodoroi\, offering even better\, sweeping sea views\, and we’ll head back to Angeria through mildly downhill road and old walled footpath.\nMixed terrain (old stone-paved footpaths\, shepherds’ trails\, dirt & cement roads)\, 10 km\, 4h30m-5h (incl. stops)\, net elevation clearance +/-350 m. Θα ξεκινήσουμε από τη γραφική Αγγαιριά διασχίζοντας τις ήσυχες κοιλάδες του Καμαρίου και της Ανερατζάς. Μέσα από παλιά μονοπάτια\, θα φθάσουμε ψηλά στο λόφο της Σκάφης και στο εκκλησάκι του Άη Γιώργη στα Δαμάλια\, όπου θα σταματήσουμε για ένα πικνίκ με τοπικά προϊόντα και κρασί. Από κει\, θαυμάζοντας την εξαιρετική θέα προς τη θάλασσα και τα γύρω νησιά\, θα κατηφορίσουμε  από το Μοναστήρι των Αγ. Θεοδώρων ως την Αγγαιριά από αγροτικό δρόμο και μονοπάτι. Μια διαδρομή σε μεικτά εδάφη (μονοπάτια με πέτρα & χωματόδρομους) μήκους 10 χλμ.\, διάρκειας 4\,5-5 ω. και  καθ. υψομετρική διαφορά +/- 350μ.\nΣημείο συνάντησης η εκκλησία του Αγίου Γεωργίου στο κέντρο της Αγκαιριάς στις 09:15 (αναχώρηση λεφωφορείου ΚΤΕΛ από Παροικιά στις 08:45).
