DESCRIPTION:Randonnée apéro – coucher de soleil sur le chemin Byzantine autour du monastère de Agia Kyriaki \n[EN] Join us on a circular\, easy to moderate difficulty sunset hike around picturesque Lefkes\, walking in unspoiled Cycladic landscape! We’ll start with a short tour of the village (the old mountain capital) and then walk on centuries’ old stone-paved footpaths\, including part of the Byzantine Way from Lefkes to Prodromos. We will then go along unmarked shepherds’ trails and through a ravine below Lefkes\, to reach the white-washed\, fortified 17th c. monastery of Agia Kyriaki\, tucked deep in a valley with centuries-old olive trees. We shall also have a “Taste of Paros” picnic with local produce & wine towards the end of the hike.\nDistance 9 km\, duration 4-4h30 (incl. stops & picnic)\, net elevation clearance +70/-100 m\, beautiful countryside & sea views\, mixed terrain with some hill climbing/unmarked footpaths.\nDeparture from Lefkes central square – contact us for transfer options. Nous allons commencer notre marche au village traditionnel de Lefkes et puis marcher sur les anciens sentiers et chemins de terre en flânant autour des anciennes terrasses cultivées\, des vignes et des oliveraies dans la vallée d’ Agia Kyriaki. Mis à part le sentiment pris du paysage et de la tradition cycladique\, nous allons également obtenir un goût de Paros avec un beau pique-nique à la cour du monastère qui comprend des produits locaux frais et bien sûr du vin parien! Randonnée de 8\,5km (4h-4h30m)\, relativement facile mais sur des terrains variés et des sentiers rocailleux\, comprenant certaines montées douces et des sentiers accidentés\, dénivelé de +70/-100 m. Θα περπατήσουμε μέσα από τις γραφικές Λεύκες (την παλιά\, ορεινή πρωτεύουσα του νησιού) και γύρω από το καστρομοναστήρι της Αγ. Κυριακής (17ος αι.) και τους γύρω λόφους\, περνώντας από παλιά\, ξεχασμένα μονοπάτια (και σε μέρος του Βυζαντινού Δρόμου) μέσα από αιωνόβιους ελαιώνες\, πέτρινες πεζούλες και δασωμένες ρεματιές – την κυκλαδίτικη ορεινή φύση! SUMMARY:Ancient Marble Quarries & Aghios Minas Monastery Walking Tour

The tour will start with a journey in history & time around & inside the ancient quarries\, seeking the traces of ancient miners in the Cave of Pan and the Cave of the Nymphs! We will then pay a visit to the fortified 17th c. Monastery of Agios Minas on top of the hill and continue with some wandering about the rural Parian landscape.  A relatively easy route of 4.5 km and 2h30m-3h (incl. stops)\, on dirt tracks and rocky footpaths… with a touch of easy caving (torches provided). DESCRIPTION:[EN]Join Paros Hikes on a relatively easy sunset hike in the peninsula around the beaches of Langeri & Santa Maria along the island’s NE tip! We’ll start at Langeri beach and follow a coastline route by the water\, enjoying shifting perspectives (from W-NW to E-SE) and spectacular rugged landscapes with low-lying junipers and fragrant bush\, as well as amazing sea views to the islets just off the coast on top of Viglakia hill! A relatively easy hike on mostly rocky terrain (hiking shoes/boots recommended) on rugged hillsides\, sandy beaches\, and country lanes – 9\,5 km\, 4-4h30\, net elevation clearance +/-70 m.\nDeparture from Parikia Parking No 2 (by the drinking water facility\, opposite the public school on the Periferiakos ring road)  half an hour before or from Santa Maria Bus Stop – Parking lot (just after the beach by the wetland). Nous commencerons à la plage de Langeri et suivrons une route côtière au bord de l’eau\, profitant de perspectives changeantes (de W-NW à E-SE) et de paysages spectaculaires et accidentés avec des genévriers et des arbustes odorants\, ainsi que de magnifiques vues sur la mer les îlots juste au large de la côte de Viglakia! Une randonnée relativement facile sur des terrains principalement rocheux (bonnes chaussures de randonné recommandées) et caillouteaux\, des plages de sable et des chemins de terre – 9\,5 km\, 4-4h30\, denivélé +/- 70 m. \nEλάτε με την ομάδα της Paros Hikes σε μια σχετικά εύκολη απογευματινή οικοπεριήγηση στην χερσόνησο γύρω από τη Σάντα Μαρία και τη Λάγγερη στο βορειοανατολικό άκρο του νησιού. Θα ξεκινήσουμε σε βατό χωματόδρομο από την παραλία της Σάντα Μαρίας και θα ακολουθήσουμε μια παραάκτια διαδρομή με όμορφες εναλλαγές προσανατολισμού (από τα Α-ΝΑ στα Δ-ΝΔ) μέσα από χαμηλή βλάστηση (κέδρους\, φίδες και αρωματικά κύστα) και υπέροχη θέα προς τα νησάκια γύρω απ’την ακτογραμμή και τη θάλασσα. Θα σταματήσουμε για ένα πικνίκ με τοπικά προϊόντα και κρασί και θα κλείσουμε την κυκλική μας διαδρομή στη Μικρή Σάντα Μαρία. Μια σχετικά εύκολη διαδρομή 9\,5 χλμ\, διάρκειας 4-4\,5 ω. σε μεικτό τερέν και καθαρή υψομετρική διαφορά +/-30 μ. (όμως με κάποια κομμάτια με αρκετά ανώμαλο έδαφος – απαιτούνται πεζοπορικά παπούτσια/μποτάκια).\nΑναχώρηση από το δημοτικό πάρκιν Νο 2 (δίπλα στο Νεκροταφείο) της Παροικιάς μισή ώρα πριν ή από την στάση του λεωφορείου στην Σάντα Μαρία (δίπλα στον υγρότοπο).
